It is the same all over you racist jerk.

Let me preface this by saying I'm a white man and I think Imus deserved what he got. I hope Limbaugh, O'Reily and the others all go up against the wall. Even if we have to sacrafice Amy Goodman, in the name of balance. In the midst of all this Imus noise, has been a discussion of how he is just echoing hip-hop culture which elevates the degradation of women, and attacks intellectual thinking people. Listening to commentators on TV and other places I heard over and over again how the real problem isn't racists and sexists; but hip-hop artists who rap about how great it is to be a gangster, or hard to be a pimp. Those commentators are wrong. It isn't the hip-hop culture that is the problem. It is the same racist jerks who run everything peddling their same crap. Why was GW elected in 2000, cause Al Gore was an intellectual snob, while GW was a down home guy who couldn't be bothered to read a newspaper. Even after Al won the election we couldn't be bothered to get upset about it because well, the guy the guy Chris Matthews thought would be more fun to hang out with got put in the Whitehouse. So while your busy beating up on black culture for being anti-intellectual and elevating criminals and thugs; just take a look in the damned mirror of the dominate white world. What is the differnce between hip-hop's elevation of the uneducated ho slapping pimp; and the main stream media's fixation on the cowboy President. Is a gold chain and a giant clock any more ridiculous than a pair of Cowboy boots and a Stetson on a man who isn't actually working on a ranch, or performing country music?

Jesus!

My guess is someone found a tomb of related family members and then marked up the coffins. We should stop all Biblical Archeology. It just continues the idea that the bible was meant to be a litteral New York Times version of history.

Reformed Episcopal Church

In 1873 they left over the loss of protestant and evangelical witness in the ECUSA. How's that working out for them 133 years later?

Heretics

Articles like this piss me off. The media needs to stop calling these guys Orthodox Episcopalian. To be orthodox you must adhere to the established doctrines of your church. These folks at Falls Church do not adhere to the doctrines of our church. There is a word for a minority that rejects the established doctrines of the church and that word is "heretic". So lets make sure we let the Post and other outlets know, these folks are not orthodox. We are the orthodox. We are conforming to the doctrines of faith as established through the cannons and resolutions of general convention. If the media wants to avoid labeling these folks as heretics, they can label them as dissenters; but not orthodox. We are orthodox.

Second Church?

Second Life is a virtual world where you make characters. Unlike other MMPORG like world of warcraft; there is no story other than the stories you make. It has a virtual economy where linden dollars can be converted into real US dollars and back to Linden dollars if you want. You can even purchase virtual real estate. Several real companies have setup virtual pavilions where you can try out prdocuts. Perhaps the church should setup in there. I propose the missionary diocese of Second Life. It gives new meaning to the idea of being born again. Any takers?

Thoughts on God.

-I've been thinking about advent recently; and its making me realise that its not a bad idea to raise my daughter unitarian. The last thing I want is her to be all devout and get knocked up by the holy spirit.

-I'm not sure I can be a follower of God. I mean they were "lost" in the desert for 40 years. Maybe a new slogan should be "worship God, but don't ask him for directions."
