1ooo good and brave men and women gone to their deaths too soon. Queue the info graphic on CNN; well written stories on MSNBC and the nets. It's hardly a suprise; so you know they've had these stories written for days. They were just waiting for the 1000 man to die. The last 500 have been burried in the back pages.

How quickly we've gone from the tragedy of one death to statitistics. 7000 casualties, 1000 dead, 1.4 million jobs lost, trillions of dollars of debt, 100 billion to Halliburton, and $2/gallon / 10 miles from your HumVee to the Saudi Royal Family hate mongering trustafarians. But ignore the statistics. The statistics are just phoney metrics that make you lose sight of the individual suffering. A statistics has no name, no mother, father, sons and daughters. No statistic ever died for their country

Individuals brave and good. Young men and women who have shown courgage. We want young men and women to be couragous; but we do not expect them to be wise. The young show courage; the old show wisdom.

My generation is doing its part. We show courage every day fighting the wars, raising the kids, paying the social security taxes that fund your retirement. You older folks govern us. Show some fucking wisdom already and quit wasting our courage on your feeble attempts to avenge your father's mistakes.

Who amoung you will show some wisdom?
