Neighbors

An article in the Post has got me ranting. First of all will people please realize that Robert Frost's line about good fences, was meant to be ironic. If you are a journalist I expect you to at least get literature right. Second of all it is really depressing that the government has seen fit in all 50 states to have fencing laws. If someone wants a fence, let them work it out. I'm a liberal democrat and even I don't think the government should be involved in these kinds of issues. Maybe if people had to work more things out with thier neighbors through negotiation; give and take; we'd all be more freindly. If I can just run to my big government and have them tell my neighbors what to do; then it leads to a kind of f-u neighbor society where escalating games of tit-for-tat end up with someone getting shot. Finally I wonder if this whole thing could be fixed by spraying certain areas of the country with oxytocin.
