Thoughts on God.

-I've been thinking about advent recently; and its making me realise that its not a bad idea to raise my daughter unitarian. The last thing I want is her to be all devout and get knocked up by the holy spirit.

-I'm not sure I can be a follower of God. I mean they were "lost" in the desert for 40 years. Maybe a new slogan should be "worship God, but don't ask him for directions."

Were they "lost" or did it just take that long to form people who had spent the last 400 years in slavery into a viable community? Forty years seems short for that.

How lost can you be if God knows where you are?

Of course, of you're looking for the most expedient route to paradise the Christian God is probably not your best bet. I'll give you that for sure.
