I realize that thing are very unsettled in the Middle East. No doubt Tim Lehay is ready for rapture. However call dibbs on your evangelical neighbors manse just yet. Whatever we are about to see in the Middle East it is not the start of armegeddon. It is just the tragic continuation of more of the same. Please don't glorify this tragic conflict by making God somehow responsible.

This article in today's does a good job of providing some examples of pastors who are using blogs as a part of their ministry. From the interviews in the article a good lesson comes out about the kinds of communication that should go in your blog. Write your blog using more informal and personal communication than you would in your Sunday sermon, or pastoral letter. This informal and personal communication becomes the mechanism for creating some virtual intamacy of your audience. It is also important to have comments and feedback mechanisms. In this way the blog initiates the conversation and creates a virtual relationship; hopefully building the personal relationship.
