Jesus!

My guess is someone found a tomb of related family members and then marked up the coffins. We should stop all Biblical Archeology. It just continues the idea that the bible was meant to be a litteral New York Times version of history.

I saw the article at the BBC and was pleased to note they, at least, had someone pointing out that the names in the tomb were very common in their time. In my mind this is like finding a grave with "Smith" on the headstone and proclaming it the burial site of any famous "Smith" you care to name.

I'm a fan of all archeology. How do you think we got the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Ugaratic texts, on and on....?

What we should put an end to is stupidity. Not archeology.
